Catholic Education Arizona (CEA), which works with the Diocese of Phoenix to provide affordable education options for families in need, also collaborates with a growing number of corporations to help fulfill the organization's mission, CEA recently reported on its website.
Catholic Education Arizona has received $8 million in tax credit funding from a total of 107 corporate partners, which will enable the state’s next generation of leaders to begin their educational journey.
“For 23 years, we have been building our brand and changing lives in Arizona,” CEA President and CEO Nancy Padberg said. “I am pleased to share that Catholic Education Arizona has been ranked the No. 1 STO (school tuition organizations) in the AZ DOR (Department of Revenue) Report 2018 (most recent) and just ranked No. 8 in the Phoenix Business Journal’s nonprofit education and cultural listing.”

CEA's corporate partners are helping the organization support education through a number of non-traditional platforms, including videos, impact reports, webinars, podcasts and social media.
“Podcasting is one way to reach a specific audience that might not engage with us in other ways,” CEA Podcast Producer Colleen McCoy-Cejka said. “Our guests range from local business owners to large corporate partners, school principals, pastors, alumni and parents. Information about tax credit contribution and the impact of scholarships is shared through stories and insightful conversation.”
Catholic Education Arizona has been integral in helping families with financial challenges to provide the best education possible to their children. In 2019, the agency helped facilitate $16.4 million in tax credit donations for the state’s Catholic school students.
Since 1998, the agency has made it possible to disburse more than $268 million to 138,000 students.
“Our children are our greatest gift, and I am proud to help make their educational dreams realities,” CEA Chief Development Officer Deb Preach said. “Our Individual and corporate tax credit contributors have made it possible, and we are forever grateful.”
