Catholic Charities Community Services, a major social services agency of the Diocese of Phoenix, continues helping families in need.
Last week, Catholic Charities Community Services published a post on its Facebook page detailing its latest charity efforts and thanking its volunteers.
"We call ourselves 'One Team' because, even though we have 20-plus different programs across central and northern Arizona, we work together to reach a bigger goal! Recently, our Family Preservation program collaborated with our CARE Campus in Mesa to help families in crisis. We know this isn’t possible without our passionate volunteers, generous community partners and faithful donors! Thank you!"
Catholic Charities Community Service's mission is to help the most vulnerable members of its community improve their lives with lasting solutions. Its mission of service is based on the scripture in which Jesus called upon his disciples to take care of the needy. In terms of both volunteers and whom it helps, Catholic Charities Community Service doesn't discriminate based on race, ethnicity, economic status nor creed. Catholic Charities' goals include strengthening families, nurturing children, sheltering the homeless and aiding those in crisis.
Catholic Charities' CARE Campus in Mesa offers a variety of support and services to children and adults. Two services are after-school programs for children and a Christmas program that allows parents to provide gifts for their families when they wouldn't be able to otherwise? a program around Christmas that enables parents to provide gifts for their children when they might not have been able to otherwise. Another program that Catholic Charities provides is the Family Preservation program, which offers assistance to clients who have been referred by the Department of Family Services.
Catholic Charities helps the clients navigate substance abuse issues and connects them with counseling, outpatient treatment, and detox services in order to provide a safe and stable living environment. According to their website, "The goal is to assist the family with tools to provide a safe and stable living environment."
