Evil is everywhere in the world, with the devil creeping into all existing systems, but humans have both good and bad in them, the Oct. 11 bulletin from Prescott's Sacred Heart Parish said.

"The devil is very cunning," the message continued. "Evil has crept into all the existing systems in the world into the human lives. God wants to rule in our hearts and in our families. But the devil wants to steal us away from God. Some believers are discomforted seeing evil everywhere."

But evil is like weeds in a garden. It is sowed into the garden by the devil, not God.

"The human being is both good and evil," the message said. "I would rather say that the human heart is a battleground where there is a constant fight between good and evil. When the good wins most of the time, we are good. And when the evil wins most of the time we are bad. Then, there is a judgment waiting at the end of the world or at least at the end of our lives. And we will be judged based on our actions."
