Parishioners of Our Lady of Joy Roman Catholic Church in Carefree will have the opportunity to honor a loved one through sponsorship of a Sanctuary Candle or Adoration Chapel Candle.

The memorials began in early October, the Oct. 4 church bulletin said. Memorials will be published in the bulletin each week. Those choosing to sponsor a candle will be given a card that they can give to the family of the person they have honored. A donation of $20 is requested to sponsor a candle.

Memorials will be available every seven days. To sponsor a candle, call 480-488-2229.

Mass Intentions continue to be offered by Our Lady of Joy as well. They can be arranged by contacting the office, but patience will be a virtue if you have not made a reservation yet. They are currently booked through March 2021, but future dates beyond March are available, the bulletin said.
