Fr. Rey Clutario of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Phoenix asked his parish to continue to pray for the end of the pandemic, a note in the Sept. 13 church bulletin said.
"As the Body of Christ, we grow closer to Jesus and continue becoming disciples by listening to what He has to tell us," Clutario said in the bulletin. "Although we may not hear Him with our ears, if we listen with the ears of our hearts, we may hear Jesus through the Scriptures, through our humble Church leaders and maybe even through a homily!"
Clutario said he was pleased so many parish members spend time with Jesus in the adoration chapel, with many asking for more hours to be added to the chapel.
"Recently, we checked with those who committed to adoration in the past and many are ready to return to their schedule!" he said. "So we are happy to announce adoration on Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., will now be included in the regular schedule. If you have not committed to an hour with Jesus each week, I highly encourage you to do so! We can hear Jesus better when it is quiet!"
