The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix recently received a donation from Plexus Worldwide of XFactor Kids vitamins and supplements for distribution.
Over 2,000 children were given a supply of the supplements through a number of the organization’s departments, including the Center for Family Wellness, the Virginia G. Piper Medical & Dental Clinic and the Family Dining Room.
XFactor Kids reportedly provides the vitamins and supplementations needed to help children thrive in their development, including probiotics for digestive health.
“With 13 essential vitamins in highly bioavailable forms, XFactor Kids supports overall nutrition and healthy development in growing kids. Plus, XFactor Kids also includes probiotics, like Bacillus subtilis, which helps support digestive health and regularity,” a release issued on the St. Vincent de Paul website said.
Shannon Clancy, associate executive director of SVdP said that this donation from Plexus Worldwide provides important support for the community’s children. As supplements are expensive, families in need can have difficulty accessing them for their children, resulting in nutritional deficiencies that are easy to prevent when vitamins are part of a daily routine.
“I want to say thank you to Plexus Worldwide for helping donate to our programs which focus on prevention and management of chronic diseases through nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness,” Clancy said. “This will go a long way in assisting individuals, families, and children to make lifestyle changes with the support of their community and our partners.”
Similarly, Tarl Robinson, CEO and founder of Plexus Worldwide is delighted with the work that SVdP is doing and is happy to be supporting their mission of caring for the community.
“We are proud to partner with St. Vincent de Paul to help make our community healthier and happier,” Robinson said. “There is so much compatibility between our mission and the vital work that St. Vincent de Paul does in our community by keeping healthy children and healthy families.”
