SS. SIMON AND JUDE CATHEDRAL PHOENIX: New Date: Pontifical Good Friday Collection

Announcements

Press release submission Sep 10, 2020

Church(1000)

Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral Phoenix recently issued the following announcement.

Date: September 12, 2020 - September 13, 2020

Pope Francis and Bishop Olmsted have asked us to support the  Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land. The collection is usually held on Good Friday, but it was rescheduled this year to September 13, just before the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

We are spiritually united with Christians in the Holy Land through our prayerful support and through donations which directly make a difference in the lives of those caught up in war, violence, and instability in the region where our Lord Jesus walked.

Your support helps the Church minister in parishes, provide Catholic education, and offer catechesis and formation. It also helps preserve religious shrines and provides humanitarian aid to refugees.

Thank you for your generosity to the Christians in the Holy Land and the Franciscans who serve them! When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you become an instrument of peace in a troubled land.
