The Arizona Knights of Columbus shared a message from the State Deputy Mario Vassallo for the month of August 2020.
Vassallo noted that Arizona had earned the Circle of Honor, which was a labor of love for those involved.
“We would not have been able to achieve this prestigious award if it was not for the outstanding work of our General Agency, the Raso Agency,” Vassallo said in the message, which was recently released on the Knights of Columbus website. “Our congratulations go to General Agent Nate Raso and his great team of Field Agents on such an incredible accomplishment. Thank you for helping Arizona achieve Circle of Honor.”
Vassallo reminded the Grand Knights that they needed to conduct their monthly officer’s business meetings as well as council membership meetings online. Any questions about how to do this should be directed to the District Deputy.
The Arizona Rosary Celebration will be held online Saturday, Oct. 17.
“Due to the change to a virtual livestream format via YouTube, we will be able to reach every Catholic in the state and beyond,” Vassallo said. “This year we honor Mary under Her title Undoer of Knots. Councils, there are still many costs, and we ask that you donate toward this event as in year’s past. A program book will be prepared, and it will be online and in color at black and white prices.”
Additionally, the Supreme Convention will be held online.
Finally, Vassallo brought attention to the Bible passage of Romans 5:1-11, in which St. Paul wrote about the life of a follower of Christ and the sacrifice of our Lord for sinners.
“Brothers, Faith, Hope, and Love, all go together," Vassallo said. "They are in the rosary. They can be found in many passages in the Bible. They are at the heart of our beliefs and what we do as Knights. Remember Love and charity are synonymous. If we look closely at faith and hope you can find similarities with unity and fraternity."
