Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Parish issued the following announcement on Aug. 23

CIVIL CONVERSATIONS IN A DIVISIVE WORLD August 27th 6:30 - 7:30pm

Join St. Francis Xavier Parish for a virtual event – a webinar presented by Dr. Raymond Reyes, Associate Provost and Chief Diversity Officer for Gonzaga University.

Do we have the ability to respectfully disagree within the bounds of an unconditional love for the other?

Do we have the ability to hear the suffering of others?

Do we have the ability to question the spiritual significance of human diversity in order to address structural racism in our families and communities?

These are questions that deserve and demand our attention in this historic moment. George Floyd’s murder continues to activate a powerful challenge and opportunity for all of us. Come join us to learn how to apply Jesuit Principles to nurture the practice of civil conversations essential in critically examining racism.
