St. Anthony of Padua Parish seeks donations for 'Laundry Love'

St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Casa Grande is seeking donations for its laundry ministry it has been operating through the COVID-19 pandemic, the church announced in its July 12 weekly bulletin

Laundry Love is a nationwide initiative established in 2003 that ensures that low- and no-income families and individuals can wash their clothes and bedding, according to the program’s website.

“Laundry Love partners with groups and local laundromats in cleaning clothes and linens of low-income or no-income families and individuals,” the group said on its site.

St. Anthony of Padua Parish welcomes donations of money, detergent (particularly in pod form), hand sanitizer, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Other churches are also participating in Laundry Love, the bulletin said. 

“St. Anthony’s next turn is Wednesday, July 29,” it said in the announcement. 

Donations labeled “Laundry Love” may be sent to the St. Anthony of Padua Parish Office at 201 N. Picacho St., Casa Grande, AZ 85122. Because the parish office is closed due to the coronavirus, donors should call ahead at 520-836-0601.
