St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Casa Grande shared a post on its Facebook page offering a tribute to Sister Carol, who is moving on from the parish and her role as principal of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School.
Mark Drost, a member of the St. Anthony’s School Board and St. Anthony’s School Foundation Board, said that he has had the privilege of working with many sisters during his three decades at the parish. Sister Carol, he wrote on Facebook, has been one of the most unique he has ever had the honor of knowing.
“I’ve been at St. Anthony’s for 30 years now and have had the privilege of working around a few sisters of various orders, including a young woman who was a novice,” Drost wrote. “She is a combination of every nun and sister I’ve ever met. I’m inspired by her spiritual life. I’m envious of her administration skills. I’m envious of her ability to teach, no matter the age group. I’m envious of the fact that she can be so involved not only at our parish school, but our parish at large. I’m also super envious of her athletic ability!”

Sister Carol will go jogging in the community while wearing her veil, Drost said, honoring her call to the sisterhood above her comfort or the impression that others have of her.
“Sister Carol epitomizes what it means to be Catholic,” Drost wrote. “Sister Carol is not just a good and spiritual person but has become a good friend and confidant. There are no words I have that can express how much this parish is going to miss her.”
Drost wishes Sister Carol a bright future whatever she may do and wherever she may go in the years ahead.
