Arizona State University's Catholic Newman Center recently resumed public Masses while implementing guidelines to ensure that social distancing and other health-safety measures are adhered to during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to an announcement on the Arizona State University's Catholic Newman Center website, public masses at the Newman Center are limited to 110 people and seating is restricted to certain areas. Seating is also available in the West Social Hall, where mass will be live-streamed. Masks are required and entrances and exits will be controlled.
Masses will be held Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and in Spanish at 1 p.m. Confessions are offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., and on Sundays at 4 p.m. Adoration hours in the chapel are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and open to 10 people or less at one time.
Anyone who is sick is asked to stay home. The Newman Center reminds Catholics that Bishop Olmsted's dispensation of Mass obligation is still in effect.
