St. Mary-Basha Catholic School will host Camp Invention for kids starting on June 1.
Camp Invention said this year they will include at-home and in-person options. For kids enjoying the camp at home, activity kits will be shipped directly to their homes. They can choose from a screen-free experience, or work with other campers and certified coaches.
Camp Invention will run from June 1-5, the school announced on its Facebook page. Anyone is welcome to enroll in the program.
Camp Invention said on its website that it's a nationally acknowledged summer program where STEM ideas are made into reality by the kids who attend. Camp Invention is operated by local teachers from the area. The camp says since 1990, the program has tapped into kids' natural curiosity giving them the ability to be creative.
The program teaches kids to become innovators through "teamwork and immersive." The program also teaches the children hands-on creative problem-solving.
Camp Invention said 2020 will bring even brighter ideas from the kids by "providing a one-of-a-kind experience at Camp Invention each year, the National Inventors Hall of Fame education team collaborates annually with NIHF Inductees to develop a new and exciting curriculum."
For more information about enrollment, you can contact the school by calling (480) 963-4951 or emailing the Camp Invention directors at campinvention@invent.org.
