Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Parish issued the following announcement on April 26

Last week we put our attention on the CREED. Next come the PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL.

Now that we have heard the readings and stated what we believe, we ask God to make us people who live what we have just heard.

The Deacon, or if a deacon is not present, a layperson speaks our petitions. Beginning with prayers for all the priests, deacons and religious, we pray for all the people in the Church as well as those who in our world who are suffering in any way. We even pray for those who have already died, that they will find peace in Christ.

We listen and agree mentally to the words that are prayed, then we make the prayers our own when we say “Lord, hear our prayers.”

La semana pasada pusimos nuestra atención en el CREDO. Luego viene la ORACION DE LOS FIELES.

Ahora que hemos escuchado las lecturas y proclamado lo que creemos, le pedimos a Dios que nos haga personas que viven lo que acabamos de escuchar.

El Diácono, o si un diácono no está presente, un laico hace nuestras peticiones. Comenzando con oraciones por todos los sacerdotes, diáconos y religiosos, oramos por todas las personas en la Iglesia, así como por aquellos que en nuestro mundo están sufriendo de alguna manera. Incluso rezamos por aquellos que ya han muerto, para que encuentren paz en Cristo.

Escuchamos y aceptamos mentalmente las palabras que se rezan, luego hacemos nuestras oraciones cuando decimos "Señor, escucha nuestra oración"
