Brian Abbott, a junior high teacher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School, was chosen for Teacher Feature Friday on April 3. 

Abbott, a language arts teacher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, has been teaching at the school for four years and said he loves how engaged the students are, according to the school's Facebook post. 

"Without a doubt my favorite thing about Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the students," Abbott said in the Facebook post. "They are engaged in the learning process and they are actively interested and involved in their Christian discipleship." 

Students at the school think Abbott is a great teacher as well.

"Kadence just told me yesterday that Mr. Abbott is such an amazing teacher and she loves him! Thank you Mr. Abbott for doing amazing with the children and teaching your love of language arts to them," Libby Spanovich, parent of an Our Lady of Mount Carmel student, said on the Facebook post. 

According to the school's website, Abbott has been teaching for 30 years and said he views it as his vocational calling.
