Catholic Charities Counseling Department moved counseling sessions online to keep providing help to individuals and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Department made the decision to switch to online counseling so it could continue to provide assistance to clients. Counseling will address issues individuals, couples, families and children are experiencing during the crisis, the Daily Independent reported.

“By taking advantage of online resources, we can continue to provide them the support, advice, direction and counseling that is so important, particularly today," Catholic Charities Senior Program manager Anna Smith told the Daily Independent. “We want to be sure that the challenges in today’s environment don’t affect our clients’ ability to get the counseling they need even if they can’t come to individual or group sessions.”

Catholic Charities can provide counseling for abuse, behavior issues, anger or stress management, anxiety, depression, divorce, grief, parenting or family issues, self-esteem, HIV and AIDs and substance abuse.

Call 602-749-4405 to arrange an appointment. Costs for sessions are based on a sliding scale. Payments can be made by credit card or are covered by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, the state’s Medicaid agency.
